Dear Madam, This One’s for You ❤️

Okay, so today’s blog is not about social media, influencers, or content creation—this one is strictly for YOU, Madam. First off, big big thank you for taking your time with us. We know we can be a handful—annoying questions, random side chats, unnecessary banter (and the occasional off-topic debate), but you always handle it like a pro. No stress, no shouting, just vibes and wisdom. We honestly appreciate it! My group members also say a huge thank you! Working on our projects has been a whole experience, and we couldn’t have done it without your guidance. You’ve made this course fun, practical, and actually useful for real life—not just theory we’ll forget after exams. So yeah, we love you, and we’re grateful! Keep being the GOAT of new media, and don’t worry, we’ll try to behave… well, at least a little

Group Work, Influencers & A Whole Lot of Fun

If there’s one thing about working on a social media campaign in a group, it’s that it can either be total chaos or a crazy fun experience. Luckily for me, it was the latter! In my new media class, we had to put together a social media campaign, and honestly, working with my group was vibes. Everyone pulled their weight, brought their ideas, and made the whole process smoother than I expected. No unnecessary stress, no slackers—just teamwork. And when you have a solid team, even the most complicated tasks feel manageable. Now, let’s talk about the wildest part: getting influencers on board. If you’ve ever tried reaching out to influencers for a project, you know it’s not a walk in the park. Some don’t respond, others have crazy rates, and a few just leave you on seen (pain!). But, big thanks to God, we managed to secure some of the biggest names in the game here in Ghana. That alone took our campaign to a whole new level. Seeing them engage with our content? Unreal. This project made m...

Social Media Ain’t Just Vibes—It’s a Whole Strategy

If there’s one thing my new media class has taught me, it’s that social media is way deeper than just posting pics, dropping captions, and hoping for likes. I used to think having an online presence meant just being active, but nah, it’s a whole game of strategy, branding, and engagement. First off, big shoutout to my lecturer—she’s mad chill. The way she breaks things down? Too smooth. No stress, no pressure, just straight-up vibes and knowledge. She makes the course feel less like a lecture and more like a convo, and honestly, that’s how learning should be. Now, let’s talk about creating social media content. Bro… it’s NOT as easy as it looks. I thought I had it in the bag—post a cool pic, add some hashtags, done. But nah, there’s levels to this. Choosing the right visuals, crafting captions that actually hit, figuring out the best time to post, and then engaging with your audience—it’s like running a whole media company. And don’t even get me started on algorithms. Those things swit...

Lecture Hall Shenanigans: When Madam's English Left Us in Stitches! 🤣

Today's class was an unforgettable experience! Madam's lecturing style had us giggling uncontrollably, and her English left us speechless. In this post, I'll share the hilarious moments from our New Media class and some unexpected  Madam's morning lecture was a riot! Her English, though well-intentioned, sounded like a Chinese baby learning to speak. We couldn't hold our laughter, and the whole class erupted in giggles. I've never seen anything like it! Today was also the first time Madam didn't retaliate to a political comment. Maybe she wasn't in the mood for a debate? Whatever the reason, we appreciated the brief respite from politics. Madam's constant references to Rose, a social media influencer, have inspired me to become one too! Who knows, maybe one day Madam will be citing me as an example in class? 😂 Isaac received a surprise windfall from a lecturer he called, and we're all curious to know who this generous benefactor is! 🤔 On a more...

New Media Midsem: The Soft Life Chronicles

Guys, gather around because I have the hottest tea from today’s New Media IA! You won’t believe what went down—MADAM LET US USE OUR PHONES!! Yes, you read that right. Phones out, Google up, soft life activated! Now, tell me why not a single soul in that class hesitated? Like?? Opportunity comes but once, and we were not about to fumble this bag. Even the “angels” in the class were deep in the trenches of their screens. No long talk, we all came for an easy life! And as if that wasn’t enough entertainment, madam somehow found a way to link our open-book midsem to Bawumia. Politics runs in her bloodstream fr! One minute, we’re searching for answers, the next minute, we’re getting a whole political analysis mid-exam. Classic madam move! But the real gag? Even with Google at their fingertips, some people were still out here calling friends for extra help. Like, my guy, what more do you need?! Also, can we talk about some of these TAs and their fashion choices? Because what in the Agya...
